Terms of Service

Effective date: June 12, 2026 · Last updated: June 12, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the website at pyfunctions.com and any service engagements with Py Functions LLC ("Py Functions", "we", "us", or "our"). By accessing our website or entering into a service engagement, you agree to these Terms.

1. Services

Py Functions provides custom backend development, serverless API design, AI integration, and related software services. The specific scope, deliverables, timeline, and fees for each engagement are defined in a separate Statement of Work or proposal agreed upon in writing prior to work beginning.

Py Functions also offers ready-made software products (such as Synopsist) under their own separate terms. Those products' Terms of Service govern their use.

2. Use of the Website

You agree not to:

  • Use pyfunctions.com for any unlawful purpose.
  • Attempt to disrupt, overload, or compromise the site or its infrastructure.
  • Scrape, copy, or redistribute content without written permission.
  • Impersonate Py Functions or any of its personnel.

3. Engagements and Payment

  • All engagements begin with a written agreement specifying scope, price, and timeline.
  • Invoices are due within the payment terms stated in each agreement.
  • Work may be paused or terminated for non-payment after reasonable notice.
  • Change requests outside agreed scope will be quoted and require written approval before work proceeds.
  • Refunds are not issued for work already completed and delivered.

4. Intellectual Property

Upon full payment for a service engagement, you own the custom code and assets Py Functions builds specifically for you under that engagement, unless otherwise stated in the agreement.

Py Functions retains ownership of:

  • General-purpose tools, frameworks, libraries, and methodologies we use across clients.
  • Any pre-existing intellectual property incorporated into your deliverables (licensed to you for use).
  • The Py Functions brand, website, and all content on pyfunctions.com.

5. Confidentiality

Both parties agree to keep confidential any non-public business information shared during an engagement. This includes technical specifications, pricing, and business strategy. This obligation survives the end of the engagement.

6. Text Message Program

What we send. Our product Synopsist sends text messages to its own account holders. There are two kinds: a reply when the account holder texts us to place a call, and lead alerts forwarded from the account holder's own CRM. We do not send marketing messages, and we do not text the account holder's clients.

How you join. An account holder enters their own mobile number in the Calling section of their Synopsist account and switches the feature on. Nobody else can add a number, and numbers are never bought, rented or imported from a list.

Frequency and cost. Message frequency varies and depends on how often you use the feature. Message and data rates may apply, charged by your own mobile carrier. Synopsist does not charge for messages.

Stopping and help. Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving them; you will receive one confirmation and nothing after it. Reply START to resume. Reply HELP for help, or email support@synopsist.ai. Messages can also be switched off at any time in your account settings.

Delivery. Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery is not guaranteed and may be affected by your carrier, your device or your coverage.

How mobile numbers are handled is set out in our Privacy Policy. Mobile information is never shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

7. Warranties and Disclaimers

Py Functions warrants that services will be performed in a professional and workmanlike manner. We will correct defects in delivered work reported within 30 days of delivery at no additional charge, provided they fall within the agreed scope.

pyfunctions.com and all site content is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the website will be uninterrupted or error-free.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Py Functions LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from service engagements or use of this website, including lost profits, data loss, or business interruption. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount paid to us in the three months preceding the claim.

9. Termination

Either party may terminate a service engagement with written notice if the other party materially breaches these Terms and fails to cure the breach within 14 days of notice. Upon termination, you owe payment for all work completed up to the termination date.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Ohio.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms at any time by posting the revised version on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the website or ongoing service engagements after changes are posted constitutes acceptance.
